  • My main focus in 2025 is on hope. Thinkers from Plato to Sara Ahmed describe hope as an emotion closely tied to the future. However, the similarities end there—each thinker has their own perspective on how hope operates within individuals, communities, and in relation to the future. Perhaps the most intriguing of the theories I have looked into is the concept of radical hope. Radical hope emerges when a profound transformation of a community’s resources renders the nostalgic rearview mirror useless. Much like Lucy Irigaray’s notion of wonder, radical hope is situated in an unknown future. We are compelled to live and build toward a future we cannot yet see. This future is not a return to the past but an entangled new reality that acknowledges its own history.

Performative work is way to interrogate both set as well live conditions. This quality lets me dive into hopes qualities with audiences.
